Funny Mothers Day Poems, Scraps, Comments, Messages

Funny Poem 1
What if moms were mean and grind
And also rather unfair and unkind
Would they scream and bite and hit
Or call people numskulls, birdbrains, or nitwits
A bet that might happen, if you forget
To celebrate Mother's Day and instead play croquet!

Funny Poem 2
Mommy you are sweet
Mommy you are nice
Don't ever leave me
Cause you make the best rice!!!!

Funny Poem 3
Mum your the best,
And I owe you the rest,
I make some mess,
And you make it less,
Mum I love you,
And so do you,
So I'll make you happy,
And you'll feel merry.

Funny Poem 4
Dear Lord, it's such a hectic day
With little time to stop and pray
For life's been anything but calm
Since You called on me to be a mom
Running errands, matching socks
Building dreams with building blocks
Cooking, cleaning, and finding shoes
And other stuff that children lose
Fitting lids on bottled bugs
Wiping tears and giving hugs
A stack of last weeks mail to read
So where's the quiet time I need?
Yet when I steal a minute, Lord
Just at the sink or ironing board
To ask the blessings of Your grace
I see then, in my small one's face
That you have blessed me
All the while
And I stop to kiss
That precious smile

Funny Poem 5
For all the diapers
that you changed.
For all the play dates
you arranged.

For all the trips
back and forth to school
for cleaning all the spit up
and the drool.

Why is there only
one Mother's Day.
You could have at least gotten
the ENTIRE month of May.

Happy Mother's Day Mom!

Send beautiful greetings cards for Mothers Day, Mothers Day Scraps and Glitter Graphics to you sweet and cute mom... :)

Bengali New Year, Vishu Festival and Bohag Bihu

The all three big festival of three different communities falls in the mid of April same day on 14-15th. Bengali New Year or "Poila Boisakh" is the new year according to Bengali calender. Poila Boisakh is mainly celebrated inside West Bengal, some parts of Assam and Tripura where Bengali communities used to live. Its the day when Bengalis tends to start their life with a new hope, new dreams and plans for future. Every year it falls and publicly celebrated on 15th April in India, and in Bangladesh it falls in 14th April. Poila Boishakh is the day for cultural programs. People pray for the well-being and prosperity of their family, relatives and friends. Young ladies clad in white saris with red borders and men clad in dhuti and kurta take part in the Probhat Pheri processions early in the morning to welcome the first day of the year. The day is very auspicious for starting new businesses and new ventures. Poila Boishakh is the beginning of all business activities in Bengal. The Bengali Hindu traders purchase new accounting books for business called halkhata. They worship of Goddess Lakshmi and God Ganesha.

Bihu Festival is the biggest festival of the people of Assam. It is a festival that transcends all religious and class barriers bringing people together in a free and uninhabited manner. There are three part of Bihu festival - Bohag Bihu, which is celebrated in mid-April, the Magh Bihu, which is held in mid-January, and the Kati Bihu which is celebrated in mid-October. The three are connected with the spring, winter and autumn seasons respectively.

Vishu is a Malayalam festival held in the state of Kerala and some areas of Tamil Nadu in Indian on the first day in the Malayalam month of Medam (April-May). Vishu Festival is also known as the Malayalam New Year day and thus it becomes all the more important for the Malayalees regardless of their religion or sect.

Easter 2010

Easter 2010 is here, So be ready to celebrate that holi Sunday.

What is the meaning of Easter?
Easter is the special day when we celebrate Jesus Christ came back from the dead. Jesus is the Son of God and gave His life to die on behalf of our sins. The 3rd day after He died, i.e. two days after good frieday-- the day we now celebrate as Easter Sunday (also called Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday)-- His friends went to His grave, and found that He had risen from the dead. They saw an angel who told them, "Don't be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn't here! He has been raised from the dead, just as He said it would happen."

Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday; now He offers to you the gift of eternal life and forgiveness of sins. This is the true story of Easter, and how it can change your life. Here are 4 principles that tell how you can receive the gift of God for your life.

1. God Loves You!

The Bible says, "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life"

The problem is that

2. All of us have done, said or thought things that are wrong. This is called sin, and our sins have separated us from God.

The Bible says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” God is perfect and holy, and our sins separate us from God forever. The Bible says “The wages of sin is death.”
The good news is that, about 2,000 years ago,

3. God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.

Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. “God demonstrates His own love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”

Jesus rose from the dead and now He lives in heaven with God His Father. He offers us the gift of eternal life -- of living forever with Him in heaven if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me."

God reaches out in love to you and wants you to be His child. "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe on His name." You can choose to ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and come in to your life as your Lord and Savior.

4. If you want to accept Christ as Savior and turn from your sins, you can ask Him to be your Savior and Lord by praying a prayer like this:

"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.  Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life.  I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always."
